Every website owner wants to achieve top page positioning on Google for multiple keywords.
Websites of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) are invariably limited to success with just 3 or 4 keywords because:
- The HomePage receives a boost in positioning equivalent to PageRank 4.5.
- Many major company websites including Rymans and Tommy Hilfiger only have HomePage PageRanks of 4.
- You can only achieve top page positioning for a good keyword phrase, or at least the words in the phrase, are in the HomePage page title.
- Google only indexes the first 65 characters in the page title tag – about 10 words.
